JimmyCWe went about 3.5 with a little walking Thursday. Daniel was hungry and I should have planned it better. He was out of gass at 2.5 miles and we walked a bit with a strong finish at the end.
1/9 - 3.5 miles
1/10 - 2 miles -Â recovery day (special treat - Maia joined us)
1/11 - 3.5
1/12 today - Daniel has Football practice; I’ll go on a long run to start rebuilding my base.

With the cute little apple logo with a bite out of it. iAnything is so last year anyway. Its strange that they went ahead and started using iPhone without finishing the negotiation with Cisco. Today the Wall Street Journal reported that Cisco Files Suit against Apple over this name. Linksys was building VOIP phones under the name and they were close to a deal but Job’s went ahead anyway. Maybe it was timing, maybe its like th Beatles suit’s for the Apple music name. I was surprised to see him using Beatles songs in his Keynote yesterday - they aren’t in the library yet. Two settlements later with Apple music and we may see that soon too. Apple is usually smart about this stuff, maybe we have yet another surprise.
This is a cool website - Netvibes is built using Web 2.0 technology. It is a cool website that lets you build your own home page or “portal” using components that draw information from other sources. It uses XHTML/CSS/Javascript and other basic web development technology/programming tools. Try it out.
The Apple iPhone is here. I am not sure how they got the name from Cisco or why they are doing so much in a phone. I can’t see it replacing my blackberry - I just love the keyboard, tactile feel, ability to type without looking as I am typing this. But for weekend phoning, it will replace my sony (I use my Blackberry only for work) and I’ll use it for music and pictures. I hope they come out with a new video iPod that uses this same technology and is hard-drive based, then I’ll replace my ancient iPod still using my iPod Nano for working out.
The BIG DEAL is that this thing runs Mac OSX. That it provides a new user interface for the iPod, That its touch screen interface will allow for:
A Tablet Mac - why not? - the way you move through pictures, albums, email and web pages is amazing. Like flipping through cd or album covers, like turning pages in a photo album or magazine. A MacBook that is all screen would be amazing.
And an iPod Video with a big hard drive that can store a lot of movies even better. Sure, this thing connects via WiFi so I imagine it will work with the AppleTV and a Mac but the point is taking it on an airplane. I don’t know what is next, Apple will not introduce a new iPod until June so the millions of new iPod users won’t feel like crap for buying them for the holidays. This will be a great year. Glad I held most of my Apple Stock, its up 8+% so far today.
Oh, and Apple Computer, Inc. is now Apple, Inc.
Engadget got info out there during Steve Job’s keynote at Macworld 2007. Engadget has pictures and info already on their website. I’m not copying and pasting - go see it yourself:

My son and I have run three days in a row. Saturday we all got out there. Sophia ran 3/4 mile with me, Maia about a mile and Daniel totaled around 2.5 miles with a good solid 2 with me.
Sunday Daniel and I got out there for a good run. 1 mile up hill warm up at a steady 11 minute pace. Then a second mile around 8:30 and a final mile again around 11. He was a champ, we stopped a bit on the third mile but it was all one long effort and I’m proud of him. We did it all in the rain too.
Monday a slow 2 mile to keep going. He ran the whole way - 11:30 pace. He is really doing fantastic, and oops, I’m actually running again!
