Not calibrated – adjusting

Dear Stephanie

I never stumble when asked why I love you. There are so many wonderful things about you. I do stumble sometimes and often hard. The things you bring into my life everyday pick me up again. Thank you.

Today is our 15 year anniversary.

3 miles – finally

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2006

I finally got out there. Took a late lunch and hit the pavement for three short miles:

1:09PM

3.0 miles in 26′25″

Pace 8′47″/mile

AHR 158BPM

My Triax HRM/SDM has got to be recalibrated – no way I was running that pace.

I spent the weekend in the woods up on Blood Mountain here in Georga on the AT with my son backpacking and hiking. It was so great to get him away and to sum it up, monday night he didn’t pull out the gamboy DS or get on the computer or turn on the TV. He sat in bed and looked up at the ceiling and said “I miss Blood Mountain.” And I pictured him climing those boulders and brushing aside those bushes as we walked. You can see pictures too!
