Arthroscopic Surgery on my Knee

Posted on July 7, 2005

The tear – this is my meniscus – the cartilage in my knee. I somehow tore it last year and today I had Arthroscopic surgery to fix it. Dr. John Day did it in a half hour and now I have to recover for a few days to a few weeks. Isn’t this picture amazing….
Before

Can you believe. Dr. Day was telling me about this new equipment he had that puts the pictures on CDROM and i said, can i have one? and he said sure! This is the tear he removed. Only about 10% so I’ll be happy again with little loss of cushion.I’m just sitting here watching the tube with my leg up. Wife and kids waiting on me.
Here is after he fixed it.
After
I expect to be running soon – modern medicine is pretty amazing. Check back to see how it feels after the drugs wear off.

Thanks, it is amazing isn’t it. I appreciate your well wishes and hope London recovers soon too, its a terrible cowardly thing to target civillians. I don’t get it and never will.
