JimmyCI didn’t run two easy and one hard run this week. I’ll try and go after I type this for a few miles and then for my long run tomorrow. This time I won’t do the wind sprints in the middle. I’m tired, my knee hurts and I have been distracted. Not sure if I can get back on track or if running is going to work for me with this knee.
Not looking good for the hike this year - May need to find another parter or go by myself. I have a couple of guys in mind.
Where to go on the AT in NC/TN?
When to go?
How far?
So - got my plan from my company last week. Tall order but time to refocus. Much the same really as last year. Will spend the day outlining the accounts I got new and an action plan for each. Plan will be to take that plus what’s possible in the current accounts and find the numbers. Those of you who don’t know sales - thats what it is; pretty mundane really.
So I sit in Starbucks on a Monday - hiding from the cleaning people who invade the house this time once a week. Planning for the Sales call at 10:00 to talk about the current quarter, the accounts going well, the ones gone bad. Sharing and planning.
Finished the Month with 130 miles. Add Sunday’s run and its 140; on target.
Monday: 5 mile recovery from Sunday’s 8 mile LSD
Tuesday: 2-3-2 run; 3 hard in the middle at 85%
Wednesday: 6 miles recovery - went too far, should have been 5.
Thursday: Ran 5 recovery at 70% 12 minute miles with a 10 minute in the middle; calibrating watch on this run in Birmingham - marked miles. I realize now I may be running 1.1 miles for every mile. When I ran a mile it clocked .9 on my watch.
Thursday: 4 miles Recovery
Friday: Intervals on the BEACH
! 2 miles warmup; 5X800 w/200 recovery then 1 mile cooldown. Felt very good - beach made its fun.
Sat: 5 miles recovery
Sunday: 10 miles - LSD; did some sprints in the middle. Started doing 200’s and did a 400 (mile 5) or two in the end (mile 8 ). Iced Knee that night while watching Deadwood. Not sure if this will be an easy recovery.
