I have been here as a businessman, a teen, and a child
Memories of my grandma taking me to see the Rockets
Days that were clean, some nights that were wild
For when I grew older I walked by that magnificent door
Instead I went to places like the Underground and Studio 54
Most people see NY from the TV or the tour-bus
On this occasion I had to visit with some executives
Even as a business man
I see NY as the place of my parents
NY, Baltimore, Atlanta and D.C.
Chicago, Rochester, Voorhees and C.P.
So many places in that I have lived and grown
NY is one of them so I wrote this poem
